The
Electrical Engineering curriculum is the
foundation for students. Every student is
given a comprehensive insight into the various
concepts that are related to electrical
engineering. In Electrical Machines, students
are told about the various types of motors
and their working principles. In Electronic
Devices, the students learn about CRT, Metal-Semiconductor
Diodes etc. In Transmission and Distribution,
Control Systems and High Voltage Engineering,
the students gather knowledge about the
structure of power systems and analysis
with the transmission lines. Design of an
Electrical Apparatus deals with the various
types of machine designs. In Measurements
and Instrumentation, the students are taught
the working of different meters like two-watt
meter method, Megger etc.
Power Electronics
Power Electronics is a subject that deals
with concepts like single phase to three
phase conversion, three phase to single
phase conversion, etc. In protection and
switchgear subject, the students are taught
the various protection methods like horn
gap method, lightning method and lightning
arrester method. The students are given
in-depth information of controlling of system
by using AC & DC drives.
Electronic Circuits
In this subject, students are given in-depth
training into the various concepts of Electronics
Engineering and their applications. In Communication
Engineering, students learn about PWM, TDM,
etc. IN Linear Integrated Circuits, the
students are taught about manufacturing
and working of various Integrated Circuits.
In Digital Signal Processing, the students
are taught about various signals like Fast
Fourier Transform and Discrete Time Fourier
Transform. In Micro-processors and Micro-controllers,
the students are taught about processors
like 8085 and 8086.
Interdisciplinary
subjects
In Environmental Science and Engineering,
the students are taught about preserving
the environment, waste treatment techniques
etc. In Applied Thermodynamics, the students
learn about heat engine including diesel
and petrol engines. Object Oriented Programming
gives concepts about inheritance, polymorphism
and data abstraction. ‘Principles of Management'
& ‘Professional Ethics and Human Values'
teach the students the basic behavior and
ethical codes. In ‘Total Quality Management'
the students learn about the Kaizen Principle
and managing quality across companies. In
‘Computer Architecture' the students are
introduced to the basic architecture of
computer like ROM, RAM and EPROM.
