CURRICULUM

During the initial year of the curriculum, students acquire knowledge in basic concepts in subjects like Engineering Graphics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Programming.

Programming Languages

To facilitate the development of programming skills, several programming languages like C, C++, Java and Visual C++ are included in the curriculum. The knowledge of these languages helps students to develop new application-and-system-based projects and establish a career in the booming IT sector.

Database Management System

The Database Management System includes Structured Query Language (SQL) and Programming Language / Structured Query Language (PL/SQL). Database Management System plays a vital role in most real time projects.

Networks

Subjects like Computer Networks, Network Security and Cryptography, Principles of Communication, Computer Architecture and Network Programming are included in the curriculum thereby helping students to establish and maintain applications on the World Wide Web. This also equips them with adequate knowledge in security systems.

Multimedia

Graphics and Multimedia is highly beneficial to students as it helps increase their creativity in the advanced 3 Dimension Technology. In the recent past, multimedia has started playing an important role across several fields like Mobile Communication, Healthcare, Construction (Design and Analysis) and Fine Arts. The course helps students to take advantage and establish a high-flying career in the field of multimedia.

ELECTIVES

The electives in the Information Technology Program include thrust areas such as Distributed Computing, High Speed Networks and Data Mining & Data Warehousing. Knowledge in these subjects helps students in Mobile Computing and World Wide Networks. This helps in acquiring the skill sets needed to make them world-class IT professionals. It also gives them the insights needed to fulfill industry expectations. In the 3 remaining years, students learn various subjects in the following areas:
